Getting Started

This section of the ESM Toolkit offers an excellent starting point for exploring ecumenical shared ministries (ESM). It includes a PowerPoint presentation with accompanying text to introduce the concept, share examples, and guide you through the initial steps of considering ESM in your context. (You can download the PowerPoint in the links section and accompanying text in resources.) Key resources include the “ESM Handbook,” a recording of the 2022 introductory webinar, a collection of ESM covenants and agreements, and book purchase information. Additionally, the document “Sharing Ministry Ecumenically” highlights 10 vignettes of Anglican/United Church shared ministries across Canada.
